Keeper Of A Realm
a bunch of blooming bobos
are gardening their little homes in harness
they will do nothing because
they are frightened little sheep
following the crook wherever it leads.
to make sure they are on their own
the gate is guarded
by a gnome made out of stone
as the keeper of their realm
the gnome has choked the basilisk
so liberty stays well-preserved
as a treasure more precious than gold
though rust has eaten it’s way
deep inside those chains
they burst not
until the last song has been sung
speak friend and enter the dream?
placed in the right hand
the richly leathered crooked staff
or put on a smart mind
as a very super potent cap
one may have found the hole
but still not the key
keep calm and drink your fraternitea.
